Blum Hinges
Blum hinges combine innovation with quality and have become the leading choice for kitchen cabinets for quiet and reliable high-performance soft-closing hinges.
One of the most popular Blum cabinet hinges is the Blum 71B3550. This is a 110 degree overlay hinge, with CLIP Top feature and Blumotion soft-close mechanism.
Some Cabinet Hinge Types explained -
Blum Blumotion - this is the name of Blum’s soft-closing mechanism for hinges which provides a soft smooth closing action.
CLIP Top – This is Blum’s hinge feature for easy assembly on enhanced adjustment.
Blum Overlay Hinges - Where the cupboard door partially or fully covers the face of the frame (when closed) these are overlay hinges. We stock a variety of full and partial overlay products.
Blum Inset Hinges – these are used when the door is inset into the cupboard frame. The extra deep base of the hinge accommodates the surrounding frame used with inframe kitchens.
Blum Blind Corner Hinge – This hinge is used when the mounting surface is parallel to the door (when closed), often in a corner.
Blum Hinge Mounting Plate – usually sold separately, this part screws to the cabinet carcase, and then the hinge clips or onto it.
Hinge Angle – this is the angle through which the hinge is normally expected to open.
